SUNGAI PETANI, May 24 (Bernama) -- A man was electrocuted while repairing a
boat in the compound of his house in Kampung Telok, Sungai Layar near here
today.
He was identified as Arshad Yusop, 54, a former general worker of the Sungai
Petani Municipal Council.
His widow, Robeah Ahmad, and their four children, found him dead when they
returned from the market about 10am.
Initially, she thought Arshad was asleep in the boat as he did not respond
their their calls.
It was only when the family approached him, that they found him
electrocuted, said Robeah, 52.
Arshad was buried at the Masjid Penghulu Him burial ground near here.
