KUALA LUMPUR, April 30 (Bernama) -- A 34-year-old man was shot dead in
Subang Jaya near here early today, apparently over a debt problem, according to
police.
Subang Jaya Police chief ACP Yahaya Ramli said the incident happened at a
parking lot opposite some shophouses in Jalan Central, USJ 1, after the man
emerged from a hotel.
"The man was walking to his car when the assailant approached him and shot
him in the head and body. The man died on the spot," he said when contacted.
Yahaya said police recovered a bullet and two empty shells at the scene.
He said the dead man was the son of a building contractor and had been in
financial difficulty after his company went bankrupt.
