MAPEX KELANTAN TO OFFER RM806 MLN PROPERTIES FOR SALE

KOTA BAHARU, May 28 (Bernama) -- The four-day Malaysia Property Exhibition

(Mapex) Kelantan 2012 will offer for sale properties worth RM806 million to

prospective buyers, says Housing, Career, Utilities and Environment Committee

Deputy Chairman Wan Yusoff Wan Mustafa.

He said the properties would be offered by 30 housing developers.

Wan Yusoff said 3,129 residential houses, worth RM457 milion, were offered

at last year''s exhibition.

"This shows that there is an urgent need to meet the demand for housing in

the state," he said when opening the Mapex Kelantan 2012 here today.

Meanwhile, Datuk Sekarnor Che Omar, Real Estate and Housing Developers

Association Kelantan branch Chairman said there were 18 abandoned housing

projects in the state.

"This is the outcome of irresponsible persons who carried out housing

projects without valid licences" he added.
