TAWAU, April 26 (Bernama) -- Police here believe that they have resolved a
murder case involving a Chinese woman, known only as Shang, 43, with the arrest
of a married couple a few days ago.
Tawau District Police Chief ACP Ibrahim Chin said the male suspect, a
44-year-old man of foreign nationality, was arrested on April 23 at a hotel in
Kunak, about 98km from here, while his 32-year-old wife, who is a local, was
arrested in Tawau the following day.
The couple are in remand for investigation under Section 302 of the Penal
Code, he told reporters here today.
Ibrahim said the couple were believed to have deceived Shang, a housewife
and a part time broker, of a business which did not exist.
Shang''s body was found in the Kalabakan forest area last April 7.

In another case, Ibrahim said police had arrested four suspects, aged
between 28 and 38, in the April 8 murder of a Felda 4 social officer in
Kalabakan.
He said the suspects, all foreigners, were arrested on April 12 and they had
been brought before the court and charged with murder.
