Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has confirmed that Matias Silvestre is on the brink of completing a move to Inter.
Earlier in the month, the Sicilian outfit's supremo revealed that negotiations with the Nerazzurri were at an advanced stage and that it was only a matter of time before a deal would be thrashed out.
And he has now admitted that discussions have been completed, although he gave no indication of when the transfer will be made official.
"We concluded negotiations with Inter regarding Silvestre last week," Zamparini told Sportitalia.
"Federico Balzaretti? He will stay with us, I have no intention of selling him."
Silvestre, 27, who joined Palermo from Catania last summer, made 29 appearances in Serie A for the Sicilian club.
