JOHOR BAHARU, June 18 (Bernama) -- Jemaah Islamiyah militant Zulkifli Hir,
who was reportedly killed in an air raid in the Philippines in February, is
believed to alive but seriously wounded.
According to a regional intelligence source, Zulkifli, also known as Marwan,
was being hidden away by the Abu Sayyaf separatist group on the island of Jolo
under tight security.
He said the Abu Sayyaf group moved Zulkifli, who was from Johor, from one
place to another to avoid being detected by the Philippine and the United
States'' armies.
