    Molest case investigations completed

SHAH ALAM: Police have completed their investigation into reports lodged against a volunteer scoutmaster accused of molesting 12 schoolgirls.

Selangor CID chief SAC Mohd Adnan Abdullah said police handed the investigation papers to the deputy public prosecutor's (DPP) office yesterday.

"We are awaiting instructions from the DPP's office on whether to charge the suspect," he told The Malay Mail.

Deputy Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Heng Seai Kie said Welfare Department officers also interviewed the suspect's daughter.

"We visited the suspect's family on the night of Feb 16 and interviewed his 15-year-old daughter who was allegedly involved in the case. The girl was later taken to a clinic for check-up," she said.

It is learnt the Welfare Department is waiting for the medical results as well as police investigation reports.

Last week, the 45-year-old volunteer scoutmaster of a school in Damansara was alleged to have molested schoolgirls at his house in SPK Sunway and the school's locker room.

One of the girls broke her silence on Feb 10. Five others lodged police reports the next day.

Five reports have so far been lodged by parents of nine victims at police stations in Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur.

Last Thursday, the scoutmaster, who wished to be identified only as Mr Ho, told a news conference at the MCA PJ South headquarters that the allegations were untrue and police reports were attempts to humiliate him publicly.

No one has been guilty yet. Please keep the allegation to yourself.

Of course that girl isn't stupid, she would put carrot or cucumber in her thing to make the story seems real.

Let the law take its course. Don't make judgements based on news alone. Malaysians should learn to refrain from sentencing suspects based merely on news reports.
