Monday's Bet of the day: Two to three goals when Real Zaragoza meet Betis

The first game between the two sides this season in September saw Betis claim a thrilling 4-3 victory, which moved them to the top of La Liga.

Since then Zaragoza have slipped ever further into the depths of the relegation battle, and it seems like just a matter of time before the Aragonese outfit descend into the second tier of Spanish football.

Last week's unlikely 2-0 win at Espanyol provided the smallest crumb of hope, however. They have not won a home match since October, but are priced at 81/50 (2.64) to beat their Andalusian visitors on Monday.

Betis meantime have only won one of their last ten away games and are available at 7/4 (2.75) to claim a victory at La Romareda, while the draw which looks pretty appealing can be backed at 11/5 (3.21).

It looks like the goals market is the best one to consider in this game, and although both teams are struggling there should be goals in it. The 27/20 (2.35) for there to be one goal in the first half looks tempting.

There has not been a goal-less first half at La Romareda in a league match since October and Zaragoza's fragile defence always looks likely to concede. To that end it may well be worth considering Real Betis to score first which is on offer at 50/59 (1.89).

But what seems really attractive is the 10/11 (1.91) offered for there to be two or three goals in the game. Seven out of Betis' last eight games have all seen two or three goals, and while it is easy see both teams scoring it is unlikely to be another goal-fest.
