KUALA LUMPUR, July 27 (Bernama) -- A Malaysia XI selection whipped the
Indonesian Under-22 squad 6-0 in an international friendly at the Gelora Bung
Karno Stadium in Jakarta tonight.
The match, played behind closed doors, was held as a replacement for the
Java Cup 2012, which was postponed to August.
The Malaysian selection which arrived in Jakarta on Monday for the
four-nation tournament which was postponed after Galatarasay (Turkey) and
Everton
(England) withdraw from the competition at the 11th hour.
The Malaysian selection represented by 15 Harimau Muda A players and eight
Super League players, struck as early as the 11th minute through Ahmad Hazwan
Bakri while Perak import Michal Kubala added the second from the penalty spot in
the 15th minute before Selangor PKNS striker Mohd Azril Nasrulhaq Badrul made it
3-0 in the 31st minute.
Selangor skipper Mohd Amri Yahyah added a brace in the 34th and 44th minutes
while Negeri Sembilan skipper Mohd Shukor Adan completed the rout in the 60th
minute.
