Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today launched a book for residents of Iskandar Malaysia to help them enjoy a better lifestyle with the use of energy efficient applications by 2015.
The Iskandar Malaysia Low Carbon Community Implementation Book outlines 10 major programmes including an eco-friendly integrated transportation programme, the Iskandar Malaysia mobile management system, guidelines on the green economy and the eco-living challenge for schools project.
The book also involved programmes to turn the Felda Taib Andak scheme as a “Low Carbon Village” and Pasir Gudang as a “smart” town.
Johor Menteri Besar Mohamed Khaled told the media that the book would also be tabled at the climate change conference in Warsaw, Poland at the end of the month. – Bernama, November 6, 2013.
