Nani has revealed that he is in talks with Manchester United over a new contract as the club prepares for a title showdown in the derby against Manchester City.
The Portuguese winger has been linked with an exit from the club for some time now, but has decided to commit his future to the Red Devils by extending his deal.
"My agent is negotiating with the club on a new deal and things are going very well," he told The Mail.
"I hope at the end of the season an agreement will be reached. Manchester United is my home."
The winger, who has made 193 appearances for United after joining the Red Devils from Sporting Lisbon in 2007, went on to laud Sir Alex Ferguson for the part the manager played in his development.
"The manager has immense faith in me and that's all that matters, he is a great coach. For me, the best in the world," the 25-year-old commented.
"But I have trembled in his presence when he hasn't been happy. I remember some games when we had won by two or three goals and he still wasn't happy.
"It seemed like we had lost. He's not someone you want to argue with."
The Manchester derby kicks off at 21.00CET at the Etihad Stadium.
