Natalie Ratabesi named as creative director at Vince

Just days after her departure from Philosophy was announced, the British designer has been named in the top job at Los Angeles label Vince.

After less than two years as the creative director at Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, Natalie Ratabesi and the Milan-based brand parted ways at the start of this month.

Now the 35-year-old designer has been announced as head of contemporary fashion label Vince. She will take the creative lead of all womenswear, with existing head of menswear Nicole Wiesmann continuing in her role. Her first project is expected to be the Women's pre-Fall 2015 collection, which will arrive at the turn of the year.

"Natalie possesses an incredible energy and spirit. Her design sensibility is effortless and she creates silhouettes with impactful and modern simplicity. She is the ideal candidate for this role as we believe she is able to bring a fresh, fashion perspective to the everyday iconic luxury essentials that Vince is known for," explained Vince President and Chief Creative Officer, Karin Gregersen. "We're certain that Natalie will preserve the brand's inherent traits, while continuing to invigorate and evolve the Vince women's collection," she added.

Ratabesi has a glowing CV, having arrived at Philosophy following stints at Christian Dior, Oscar de la Renta, Gucci and Ralph Lauren. We can't wait to see what she comes up with for Vince.
