Nazmi Faiz Mansor is in line to make his competitive debut for SC Beira-Mar’s first team in upcoming cup competitions.

The Malaysian youngster, who had started his career in Portugal with the youth team, continues to train with the senior squad and has been making steady progress since joining the club in July, according to his agent Marco Guimaraes.

"Nazmi trains with the senior team regularly and will be considered for knockout competitions this season," Guimaraes told Timesport yesterday.

"He needs to strengthen himself in preparation for possible first-team action soon as those playing in the league are physically huge."

If selected by manager Ulisses Morais, Nazmi is likely to feature for Beira’s first team in the Taca de Portugal (Portuguese Cup) and the Taca de Liga (League Cup).

The 18-year-old Keramat native made his debut for the youth team of Beira-Mar last week in a 2-1 win over Navy, where he played for 79 minutes.
