"As such, if Ambiga or anyone else are found to have committed treason, they
must be penalised according to the law," he said.
Mohamad said that in his speech during the debate in the Dewan Rakyat, he
had never linked the issue to the Indian community and that the DAP''s move to
connect the issue with the community demonstrated bad faith by the opposition
party.
He asked the Indian community in the country not to fall prey to what he
claimed to be the narrow politics of the DAP.
Yesterday, Lim, who is also DAP secretary-general and MP for Bagan, told
reporters at the lobby of Parliament House that the DAP would lodge a police
report today over Mohamad''s remark which he claimed constituted a threat to
Ambiga''s life.
