had been built.

Muhyiddin also called on Umno members to get ready for the battle to ensure

victory for the party in the GE.

"Mr President, we are ready to move. You have our allegiance. We have

pledged our determination and commitment. Sound the battle cry.

"There is nothing more meaningful to the party other than victory in the

coming election," he added.

Wishing the more than 100,000 Umno members present at the venue a happy

66th anniversary, he said he hoped the gathering was proof that its members were

the generation which would continue with the true Umno struggle.

"Let us make this gathering a battlefield for us to strengthen our

confidence, determination, hope and with humility, celebrate our success.

"Indeed, May 11, 1946 will be etched in history, the founding of Umno served

as a platform which fought for the rights, fate and future of the Malays.

"For more than six decades, Umno moved with confidence, Umno moves in tandem

with the people''s hopes and aspirations. Umno moves with loyalty and wisdom," he

added.

He also called on Umno members to give their loyalty and have confidence in

the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who is also party

president, to ensure Umno continued to be relevant and have a place in the

people''s hearts.
