NFCORP CHAIRMAN LODGES POLICE REPORT AGAINST RAFIZI RAMLI

KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 (Bernama) -- National Feedlot Corporation (NFCorp)

chairman Datuk Seri Dr Mohamad Salleh Ismail has lodged a police report against

PKR strategy director Mohd Rafizi Ramli for allegedly commiting 21 breaches

under the Banking and Financial Institutions Act 1989 for revealing private and

confidential banking details to the media.

Mohamad Salleh said Rafizi had distributed to the media for public display

banking details and credit ratings of NFCorp, National Meat and Livestock

Corporation Sdn Bhd, Real Food Company Sdn Bhd, Agroscience Industries Sdn Bhd

and the personal bank details of the directors and shareholders of the

companies.

He lodged the report at Damansara Utama Police Station near here today.

It is believed that this is the first time in Malaysia’s banking history

that public distribution and display of private and confidential details of 21

entities had been made without the authorised consent of the entities and

directors at a news conference called by Rafizi on March 7.

Mohamad Salleh also lodged a report against Rafizi for allegedly making

numerous statments that defamed him.

"I urge the police and Bank Negara Malaysia to investigate these multiple

contraventions of the Banking and Financial Institution Act,1989 (Bafia)," he

told reporters after lodging the reports.

Mohamad Salleh said that Rafizi had slandered his financial standing by

insinuating that he was not worthy credit for loans, that he had taken personal

loans leveraging on a government soft loan deposit and that he had specifically

taken personal loans for his private investments in KL Eco City when in actual

fact no loan was ever taken for these investments.
