On Wednesday, athletes compete for gold medals in women's 63kg wrestling, men's and women's kayaking, and men's 49er sailing. Early rounds for women's and men's BMX cycling kick off, and semifinals for women's boxing and hockey take place. Here are a few other highlights to watch.

Gold medal events starting at 7:45pm
The Olympic Stadium heats up with final rounds for women's 1500m and 200m as well as women's long jump and 400m hurdles. Men tackle the 110m hurdles final.
Women's beach volleyball
Medal events start at 7pm
Women compete for the gold medal at 9pm, while the bronze medal match happens at 7pm. Semifinalists playing on Tuesday evening are Brazil's Juliana Felisberta Silva and Larissa França, China's Xue Chen and Zhang Xi, and two teams from the US: Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings and April Ross and Jennifer Kessy.
Men's team table tennis
Medal events start at 11am
Starting at 11am, teams from Germany and Hong Kong play for the bronze at ExCel, while it's China vs. South Korea for gold medal glory.
Taekwondo
Events start at 9am
This Korean martial art made its debut as a demonstration sport at the Seoul 1988 Games but was not officially added to the Olympic program until the Sydney 2000 Games. Women's taekwondo (49kg) starts with preliminary rounds in the morning and the final gold medal round is at 10:15pm. Men's 58kg starts at 9:15am with the gold medal final at 10:30pm.
