SINGAPORE, April 16 (Bernama) -- More than 90 Malaysian companies are among
the 2,600 exhibitors from 65 countries participating in the Food & HotelAsia
(FHA) 2012, here.
The biennial mega trade event for the food and hospitality industry is being
held from April 17- 20.
FHA2012, organised by Singapore Exhibition Services (SES) and now in its
18th edition, is also dubbed as Asia''s biggest international event.
It will throw the spotlight on specialised shows that encompass all the
significant sectors of the food and hospitality industry, namely, FoodAsia,
HotelAsia, Bakery&Pastry, HospitalityStyleAsia and HospitalityTechnology.
Each show is specially tailored for the increasing sophisticated needs of
the food and hospitality industry.
Beryl''s Chocolate & Confectionery Sdn Bhd, Federal Oats Mills Sdn
Bhd, Figo Foods Sdn Bhd, HSH Frozen Foods Sdn Bhd, Lucky Food Processing Sdn
Bhd, Kim Shing Machinery Sdn Bhd and the Federal Agricultural Marketing
Authority (FAMA), are among the Malaysian participants.
Ting Siew Mui, Project Director of Lifestyle Events from show organiser,
SES, said the FHA 2012 will serve as an invaluable platform for Malaysian
companies to gain visibility in the foreign market and showcase their products,
as well as network with potential business partners.
Meanwhile, in conjunction with FHA 2012, the Malaysia External Trade
Development Corporation (Matrade) will also organise a networking reception with
Malaysian exhibitors at Mara Pavillion on April 18.
Matrade Singapore Trade Commissioner Naim Abdul Rahman said 10 Malaysian
companies under MARA will participate in the FHA 2012.
"The companies will be promoting food and beverage products such as frozen
foods, juices and cordials, instant foods, spices and chocolates.
"We are assisting MARA in organising a reception that provides an
opportunity for Singapore companies to network and have one-to-one business
meetings with the Malaysian exhibitors," he told Bernama.
The exhibitors are Madura Industries Sdn Bhd, V-Pack Sdn Bhd, Magic Taste
Syrups Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd, AZP Resource Sdn Bhd, Perfect Agro (M) Sdn Bhd,
Flavor Innovation, Masdar Safi Sdn Bhd, Muhazrin Holdings Sdn Bhd, Faiza
Marketing Sdn Bhd, Azaib Holdings Sdn Bhd.
Naim said the networking reception will be graced by MARA Director-General,
