    PERLIS HOST FOR THE 7TH ASIA WOODBALL TOURNAMENT

    KANGAR, June 23 (Bernama) -- Perlis will host the 7th Asia Woodball

    tournament for five days, beginning July 20.

    Federal Asia Woodball president Thomas Kok said today that to date 220

    woodball players from various countries had confirmed their participation in the

    Asia-class tournament which was first held in Perlis.

    Among the countries were Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, South

    Korea, Mongolia, China, Philippines, Singapore, Japan, Vietnam and Iran.

    In addition, Perlis also will host the Youth Asia Woodball tournament and

    the 15th International Open Woodball Malaysia tournament on the same date, he

    said in a statement.

    The tournament will be held at the Universiti Teknologi Mara Perlis court,

    Dataran Datuk Sheikh Ahmad and MPK field.
