KANGAR, Dec 21 (Bernama) -- The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin
Putra Jamalullail, led a convoy of 100 motorcyclists over 50 kilometres in a
social innovation expedition yesterday to meet soldiers serving along the
Malaysian-Thai border in Kedah.
The Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, also
participated in the Social Innovation Expedition 2011 programme in which several
members of Regiment 504 of the Territorial Army and Chuping community leaders
Also in the convoy, which started yesterday evening at the Istana Arau and
ended at the 4th Battalion Tactical Command of the Royal Rangers Regiment at the
Bukit Tangga Camp in Kedah, were Perlis Social Welfare Committee chairman and
Chuping state assemblyman Mansor Jusoh and Perlis police chief SAC Zull Aznam
The programme was organised jointly by the Tuanku Syed Putra Foundation and
the National Security Council to deliver Christmas cookies to soldiers serving
at the border.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin addressed the soldiers at the Bukit Tangga Camp and
handed over 86 packets of cookies. Some 111 packets were also delivered to
soldiers at control posts along the border.
