Montreal: In 1976, Montreal hosted the first Olympics to be held in Canada (Canada later hosted the Winter Olympics in Calgary, 1988 and Vancouver, 2010). A 17-year-old Romanian gymnast named Nadia Comaneci shone at the Games, scoring seven perfect 10s and winning three golds.
