No Skybridge too high for fashion

The outfits were arguably some of the best this city has managed to see on the catwalk. And it was memorable also for Minh Anh’s (who paraded two outfits herself per collection) now signature pose. She had a penchant to wear outfits that had capes and perhaps was giving in to her superhero fantasies. So cape was duly spread when she reached the end of the “runway” and the awaiting papparazi.

The gimmicky cake-dress at the end could have been done without. In fact I would venture to guess the uppermost thought in the audience and the media’s minds when models bearing miniature cakes accompanied her was - can we throw it back at them?

For this was truly a case of having your cake and eating it too. The almost two-hour period despite the great fashion on show was way overlong. It was excruciating, for there was no break and most of those present probably started zoning out half way through the show.

Minh Anh probably has not heard of the expression - too much of a good thing.
