Seri Salleh Said Keruak today launched the Barisan Nasional (BN) election

machinery in Kinabatangan and said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has

brought a politics of hope for the people of Malaysia.

He said Najib had proven his mettle at the helm of the country''s

administration by introducing numerous initiatives, notably the national

transformation agenda and the 1Malaysia concept.

"Although Najib took over the premiership about four years ago, his

initiatives are bearing fruit and Malaysians are generally happy with his

administration," he said in his speech at the launch, here.

Also present were Kinabatangan MP Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin and Kuamut

Assemblyman Masiung Banah.

Salleh, who is Sabah Legislative Assembly Speaker, said: "I believe that

with a new brand of politics of moderation advocated by Najib and, with most of

the people''s grievances having been heard, the Barisan Nasional is on the right

track to face the next general election."

Salleh said the prime minister''s focus on ensuring peace, development and

democracy in the country would also help win the hearts and minds of the people.

He said the Sabah BN election machinery was now on standby and ready to be

mobilised for the 13th general election.

Salleh urged the people to reject issues propagated by the opposition,

especially in the rural areas, and instead rally behind the BN government to

ensure a better future for themselves.
