KUALA TERENGGANU, 24 Mei (Bernama) -- The Terengganu State Economic

Development Corporation (PMINT) is to spend some RM400 million on real estate

developments here.

PMINT general manager Datuk Osman Muda said at a news conference here today

that the RM141 million, 120-unit KP Perdana low-cost apartment project in

Kampung Kubang Parit is expected to get its certificate of fitness (CF) from the

Kuala Terengganu City Council in June.

Nearly half of the units, each costing RM65,000, have been taken up by

buyers who have paid a 10 per cent deposit.

Another PMINT project, comprising 176 affordable units costing between

RM42,000 and RM68,000 each in Pulau Duyong, is also waiting for CF approval,

while the 19-storey Paya Bungor Square project is expected to be completed in

July 2013.

The RM70 million development, comprising a 199-room hotel, office block,

shopping complex, shops, food court and car park, is 46 per cent completed,

Osman said.

PMINT''s latest project is a RM60 million nine-storey building on Jalan Engku

Embong Fatimah containing 718 parking lots, eight shop lots, a 10-lane bowling

alley and 10 cinemas.
