POLICE CONFIRMS DEATH OF MTD STUDENT

KUALA LUMPUR, July 30 (Bernama) -- Police classified the death of a student

at the Royal Military College (MTD) in Sungai Besi, today, as sudden death.

When confirming the report on the death of the male student, Cheras police

chief Mohan Singh Tara Singh said preliminary investigation on the body of the

16-year-old student did not find any sign of foul play or physical injury.

"The preliminary investigation by police finds no indication of crime in the

incident and, at the moment, the case is classified as sudden death," he said

when contacted by Bernama, here, today.

He said, a post-mortem by Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM)

also did not show any sign of criminal misdeeds, which resulted in the death of

the form four student.

"Further investigation is being conducted and police hope there will be no

speculation on the death," he said.
