    POLICE FIND DECOMPOSED BODY OF WOMAN ON LAZY CHAIR

    GEORGE TOWN, Jan 29 (Bernama) -- A woman''s decomposed body was found by

    police near a house at Taman Sri Bahari, Jalan Bahari near here at 1.30pm today.

    The body of the woman, identified as Lau Hua Nee, 58, a retired teacher who

    teaches tuition and who lived alone in the house with her two dogs, was found on

    a lazy chair inside the house.

    A police spokesman said neighbours who came across a foul smell emanating

    from the house for the past few days, called the police.

    "Police had to force open the front door to enter the double storey house,"

    he told reporters here today.

    Timur Laut Police Chief ACP Gan Kong Meng who confirmed the find said

    initial investigations revealed that the woman may have died three or four days

    ago.

    "The case has been classified as sudden death but we are still carrying out

    investigations," he said adding that the body was later sent to the Forensic

    Department of the Penang Hospital for post-mortem.
