KUALA TERENGGANU, July 30 (Bernama) -- Police are seeking a Thai man to help
in the investigation into the killing of an Indonesian labourer whose body was
found in an oil palm plantation in Kampung Tapah, Setiu, on Saturday.
Terengganu CID chief ACP K. Manoharan today advised anyone who had
information on Abd Halim alias Zaki b Idres, 51, of Yala, Thailand, to contact
the nearest police station.
The body of the 33-year-old Indonesian, who was known as Heri, was found
covered with maggots in a drain with slash wounds on the head, forehead, legs
and hands.
Manoharan said the man had been working for several years in the oil palm
plantation.
