KUALA LUMPUR, May 18 (Bernama) - Police raided the main store of a house in
Kapar, Klang two days ago and seized Eramin 5 worth 14.9 million.
The raid followed several raids five days ago where police crippled a drug
processing syndicate and seized Eramin 5 worth RM43 million in Penang, Kuala
Lumpur and Klang.
Bukit Aman Narcotic Crimine Investigation Department (NCID) director Datuk
Noor Rashid Ibrahim said police arrested a man who was guarding the double
storey house in Bukit Raja, Klang.
"Police seized 736,330 Eramin 5 pills and 12.3 kg ephedrine, a key
ingredient in syabu processing, dryers used in drug processing and packets of
drugs ready for distribution," he told a press conference in Bukit Aman here
today.
Noor Rashid said that investigation revealed that the 45 year-old local man
arrrested had four previous records related to drug possession.

Police believed that remaining syndicate members are still at large and are
continuing the operation to track them down.
"With this operation, police not only succeeded in crippling an
international drug syndicate with laboratory to process Eramin 5 but also
blocked 3.76 million pills from entering the market," said Noor Rashid.
Police arrested 25 syndicate members including Taiwanese and Nepalis in 15
raids in Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Klang last Saturday.
Ten people were arrested in Penang, six in Klang and the remaining nine in
Kuala Lumpur.
