PETALING JAYA, June 15 (Bernama) -- The MoF booth supported by ePerolehan Unit

and CDC at the Jelajah Janji Ditepati carnival attracted Prime Minister Datuk

Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak. Held at Kulim Hi-Tech Park on 8 June, the PM made a

diversion specifically to visit the kiosk jointly setup by the Ministry of

Finance, Inland Revenue Board, Bank Simpanan Nasional and ePerolehan Unit.

It was a chaotic affair during the PM visit because not only the staffs manning

the booth were anxious and eager to meet him, but other visitors to the carnival

were also jostling to get the opportunity to shake his hands. Despite the

crowded condition he managed to find his way to the MoF guest book to put his

signature.

The PM visit was quite momentous for all involved at the booth as it is a rare

experience to meet the nation’s number one leader in person. Furthermore, there

were more than 80 other booths he could have visited at the carnival but he

chose to take look at the one operated by MoF and agencies related to it.

Reports indicated more than 50,000 people from all over Kedah and nearby states

visited the carnival. Despite it was just a one-day event, the big number of

visitors gave good mileage to ePerolehan system among the general public.

Moreover, there were quite a number of SMEs also participated as exhibitors and

retailers at the carnival who are the right target for the ePerolehan system.

For ePerolehan Unit and ePC employees involved at the ‘Jelajah Janji Ditepati’

or Promises Kept carnival, it was a good opportunity for them to gather feedback

on the needs of the locals with regards to the ePerolehan system. With such

data, CDC could continuously improve on the application for present, future and

beyond use.

Additionally, the employees of both organisations further enhanced their people

relations skills for they had to face a very enthusiastic crowd at the carnival

that could test the most season of campaigners.

All in all, carnivals like the ‘Jelajah Janji Ditepati’ or Promises Kept at

Kulim, Kedah provided the right avenue to further expose and give extra mileage

not only for the ePerolehan system but also to the employees participating at

the event.
