IPOH, May 22 (Bernama) -- The consort of the Sultan of Johor, Raja Zarith
Sofiah Sultan Idris Shah heads a list of 867 recipients of state awards and
medals in conjunction with the Sultan Azlan Shah of Perak''s 84th birthday
today.
Raja Zarith Sofiah is being conferred the Darjah Kerabat Diraja Yang Amat
Dihormati (DK) title.
Chief Justice Tan Sri Arifin Zakaria will receive the Darjah Seri
Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (SPCM) award, which carries the title ''Datuk Seri''
while the Chief Judge of Malaya Tan Sri Zulkefli Ahmad Makinudin will be
conferred the Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Perak (SPMP) award, which also carries
the same title.
Also receiving the SPMP award are National Sports Council director-general
Datuk Che Zolkples Embong; Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT) chief executive Tan
Sri Che Lodin Wok Kamaruddin; Thailand Hockey Association president/ Asian
Hockey Federation vice-president Chaiyapak Siriwat; Datuk Pengelola Bijaya

Three people will be conferred the Darjah Seri Panglima Taming Sari (SPTS)
award which carries the title "Datuk Seri Panglima" namely Navy deputy chief
Vice-Admiral Datuk Mohammed Noordin Ali, Army chief General Datuk Zulkifli
Zainal Abidin and Federal police (Bukit Aman) Special Task Force director Datuk
Mohamed Fuzi Harun.

award, which carries the title "Datuk", is Orang Kaya-kaya Imam Paduka Tuan

Sani Ahmad; First Admiral Mohamad Adib Abdul Samad, the deputy chief of the
International Monitoring Team for Mindanao, Philippines; Perak police chief
Datuk Mohd Shukri Dahlan; Brig Gen Redzuan Baharuddin from Army headquarters;
First Admiral Sulaiman Mohamad from Navy headquarters and Sarawak Contingent
Police Headquarters CID chief, Zulkifli Hassan.
Thirteen people will be awarded the Darjah Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (PCM);
Darjah Paduka Mahkota Perak (70 recipients), Darjah Ahli Cura Si Manja Kini (16)
and the Darjah Ahli Mahkota Perak (AMP) (203).
A total of 289 people will be awarded the Pingat Pekerti Terpilih (PPT)
medal; 196 others the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) medal and 11 the Pingat
Lama Perkhidmatan (PLP) medal.
Besides tomorrow, investitures will also be held on May 26 and June 9.
