IPOH, May 22 (Bernama) -- The consort of the Sultan of Johor, Raja Zarith

Sofiah Sultan Idris Shah heads a list of 867 recipients of state awards and

medals in conjunction with the Sultan Azlan Shah of Perak''s 84th birthday

today.

Raja Zarith Sofiah is being conferred the Darjah Kerabat Diraja Yang Amat

Dihormati (DK) title.

Chief Justice Tan Sri Arifin Zakaria will receive the Darjah Seri

Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (SPCM) award, which carries the title ''Datuk Seri''

while the Chief Judge of Malaya Tan Sri Zulkefli Ahmad Makinudin will be

conferred the Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Perak (SPMP) award, which also carries

the same title.

Also receiving the SPMP award are National Sports Council director-general

Police Headquarters CID chief, Zulkifli Hassan.

Thirteen people will be awarded the Darjah Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (PCM);

Darjah Paduka Mahkota Perak (70 recipients), Darjah Ahli Cura Si Manja Kini (16)

and the Darjah Ahli Mahkota Perak (AMP) (203).

A total of 289 people will be awarded the Pingat Pekerti Terpilih (PPT)

medal; 196 others the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) medal and 11 the Pingat

Lama Perkhidmatan (PLP) medal.

Besides tomorrow, investitures will also be held on May 26 and June 9.
