PETALING JAYA: Shopping malls should beef up security in the wake of assault--robbery incidents on women, says Noorhusna Aisyah Abdul Malek (pic), who was brutally set upon by robbers at Mid Valley Megamall, last Friday.
She said shopping centres must not assume their premises had enough security.
"The cases are enough for mall managements to learn from and revamp. The 24--year--old said woman are easy targets for crooks. "We should be escorted by a guard if cars are parked in secluded spots."
"CCTVs must always be functioning properly and be installed in secluded areas."
She is recovering from injuries to her head and chest.
Yesterday, Noorhusna was called for an identification parade by Brickfields police to identify a suspect arrested on Wednesday.
Police are investigating if the suspect was involved in the assault--robbery of a woman in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, last Sunday.
