Roma's Pjanic snubbed Tottenham, claims agent

Miralem Pjanic's agent has revealed that his client has refected an offer from Tottenham Hotspur to stay at Roma.

The 22-year old midfielder moved to the Italian capital ahead of the 2011-2012 season and has declared his future to the club, despite a €15 million bid from White Hart Lane.

"Tottenham made a move for him, but both Roma and Pjanic thanked them for their interest and politely declined the offer," Pjanic’s agent, Michele Gerbino told TMW.

"This is not the time to move or consider any other offers. The lad has tied himself to this project and first of all wants to do well at Roma.

"Besides, the club locked him down. Basically, he will not be moving. Pjanic had a very positive year, adapting easily to Serie A and you can see that from how quickly he learned to speak Italian. He’s very happy at Roma."

Pjanic made 30 appearances for the Italian side last season, scoring three goals. The former Lyon midfielder has three years left on his contract at Stadio Olimpico.
