KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 8 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian rubber market closed lower
today, tracking falling oil prices brought on by the US and Europe debt
crisis, dealers said.
"Traders were concerned about the matter in US and Europe," said a dealer.
At noon, the Malaysian Rubber Board''s official physical price for SMR 20
ended one sen lower at 1,382 sen per kg while latex-in-bulk decreased 7.5 sen
to 878.5 sen per kg.
As for the 5pm closing price, tyre-grade SMR 20 dropped 11 sen to 1,367 sen
per kg while latex-in-bulk went down eight sen to 874 sen per kg.--BERNAMA
