Ruben Micael looking to get back into the limelight at Braga

New Braga signing Ruben Micael is hoping to get himself back into the limelight after returning to his homeland on a one-year loan deal.

The Portuguese midfielder had a frustrating time in Spain since moving from Porto to Atletico Madrid in 2011, and was soon shipped out on loan to Zaragoza.

The 25-year-old is eager to reinvigorate his career at the Estadio Municipal and feels Jose Peseiro’s men are one of the biggest clubs in the country.

"It is a good move. Braga are a great Portuguese club,” he told Correio do Minho.

"In Portugal if you don’t play at the top four clubs you can become forgotten. The same happens if you go to Spain and you're not playing for a big team.

"Braga are one of the top clubs, playing here is what I want,” he concluded.

Braga have the right to buy Micael outright once his loan deal expires next summer.
