Rural students' touching tribute to #MH370 passengers

In rural Johor, there is a school where 10 Year Three pupils are worried sick about the passengers of MH370.

Iskandar, Athirah, Wani, Adam, Daniel, Azwan, Poven, Hakim, Fahmie and Nabil go to SK Telok Sengat, which is near a fishing village in Kota Tinggi.

The kids were blissfully unaware about the traumatic events of the past week, until their English teacher Sharmila Sivasangaran told them about flight MH370.

"Some of them were not aware of it while others didn't know much about it. However, after I told them what happened, they were extremely touched and saddened by the incident.

"I told them that we must pray for the flight's return and suggested they make posters to show their support and these are the results," Sharmila said.

Sharmila, in her email interview with us, said the students drew and decorated the posters all by themselves with very little guidance from her.

She added that she and her students wanted to show their empathy to the families of those involved in the ill-fated incident.

"These posters are a simple way of showing our support. We, like all other Malaysians hope and pray for the flight's safe return."

Come back to us, MH370. Malaysia is praying for you.
