Walter Samuel has ended speculation over his future by penning a new contract with Inter until 2013.
The Argentine defender's previous contract expired at the end of the season but has now signed a one-year extension, with the Nerazzurri having the option to extend the deal for another 12 months.
The 34-year-old has been ever present in Inter's rearguard since he joined the club from Real Madrid in 2005, with 34 official appearances to date in 2011-12.
Meanwhile, Inter have announced that backup goalkeeper Luca Castellazzi has signed a new two-year contract, which will keep him at San Siro until 2014.
The 'People's Gathering' in front of the Amcorp Mall field in Petaling Jaya on Saturday will go ahead despite the police arresting several leaders of opposition political parties and non-governmental organisations today.
