Sandra Bullock is reportedly “still shattered” by her split from her ex-husband Jesse James.
The 47-year-old was left humiliated after it was revealed that Jesse, 43, had been unfaithful multiple times during their five-year marriage. The news became public in 2010, shortly after Sandra picked up the best actress Oscar for The Blind Side.
National Enquirer reports that Sandra is troubled by what happened and is getting help for her emotional issues.
“Sandra has been seeing a therapist three times a week for almost two years,” a family friend told the publication.
“She’s still grappling with trust issues involving men, but she says she’s making progress and slowly learning to truly open her heart again and let love in.
“Sandy’s still shattered from the public kick in the head that her divorce from Jesse became. She loved him with all her heart, and his betrayal caused massive emotional destruction.”
Sandra was quiet after the allegations against Jesse were made. She finally spoke out several weeks later, when she publicly announced she was filing for divorce and had also adopted a baby boy called Louis on her own. She is now focusing on raising her child, but is also starting to feel ready to move on romantically.
“She’s longing for a man who will cherish her and provide a ‘happily ever after’ ending to her terrible love ordeal.
“But regardless of her love life, Sandy still wants another baby. She’d love to adopt a little sister for Louis. That’s probably a bigger priority and could very well happen before she finds her ‘Mr. Perfect’.”
