Sao Paulo are now in a position to formally request that the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) cancels Oscar's registration as an Internacional player following the official publication of a Labour Court ruling on a contractual dispute over the midfielder.
The Brazil international rescinded his contract with Sao Paulo in 2010 because of a row over unpaid wages before then joining Internacional on a free transfer.
However, the Morumbi outfit took legal action against the player and the Labour Court of Sao Paulo last week ruled that the 20-year-old must return to his former club.
Oscar stated that he and his legal team would await the publication of the ruling before deciding on their next course of action but Sao Paulo are now within their rights to recall their youth team product.
However, Internacional's vice-president of football, Luis Anapio Gomes, stated earlier this week that remains confident that a compromise deal can be reached which would see Oscar remain with the club.
"Reasonable alternatives are already being worked on," he told Globoesporte. "The fans can be calm: we hope to find a positive outcome for Inter.
"We will not express what our strategy is but we will proceed with it upon receiving notification of the [court ruling]."
Oscar, who has already been capped by Brazil, is considered one of the most exciting young talents in South America and has already been linked with a move to Barcelona.
