KUCHING, July 29 (Bernama) -- The annual ''Bubur Lambuk and Bubur Pedas''
festival in Sarawak will begin this Sunday, with an expected 35,000 packets of
the two porridges, popular during the Ramadan month, to be handed out at 33
locations in the state.
Bernas Corporation Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Mohamad Kamaluddin Mohd
Effendie said the event would be jointly organised with Bernas as official
sponsor, and Pertubuhan Belia Kebangsaan Negeri Sarawak (Saberkas) as main
organiser.
"It part of the Bernas Corporate Social Responsibility programme and we
would be sponsoring RM50,000 for this purpose," he said in a news conference
here today.
"This year, we have identified 33 locations in Sarawak, as compared to 42
last year," he said.
