Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim has challenged MCA young professionals bureau chief Chua Tee Yong to provide evidence of the RM1 billion scandal Chua has accused the state government of being involved in.
"Why doesn't he come forward to the public with this information?" Khalid asked during a press conference today.
According to The Star , Chua ( left ) threatened to expose a scandal involving RM1 billion worth of deals that the state has supposedly kept concealed through complicated transactions.
Chua, who is deputy agriculture and agro-based industries minister, also challenged the Selangor governmen to disclose all details of its transactions.
"We have a very transparent administration," insisted Khalid, who denied knowing anything about Chua's allegations.
Chua had reportedly sent out several tweets threatening to expose an alleged “scandal involving RM1bil worth of wheeling and dealing”.
It was also reported that Selangor Barisan Nasional coordinator Zin Mohamed has asked Pakatan Rakyat to explain why assets belonging to government-linked companies have shrunk.
He asked for transaction records for government-linked companies such as KDEB Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Bhd) to be revealed.
In the same article, Gagasan Anti Penyelewengan Selangor (Gaps) president Hamizun Kamaruddin also claimed that he would be revealing details of corrupt transactions involving the state government.
