    SINGAPORE YACHT SHOW TO ATTRACT OVER 6,000 HIGH SOCIETY GUESTS

    SINGAPORE, Feb 22 (Bernama) -- The Singapore Yacht Show 2012 from Apr 27-29

    is expected to attract over 6,000 high society guests from Asia looking to

    experience all that Singapore has to offer.

    Managing director of Informa Yacht Group, Andy Treadwell, said more

    heavyweight international yachting brands including Palmer Johnson, Feadship,

    Westport and San Lorenzo would participate in this year’s show, a new addition

    in the world super yachting calendar.

    "These industry stalwarts have produced some of the most spectacular luxury

    superyachts in the world and their participation demonstrates the importance of

    the industry in Asia-Pacific," he said.

    Informa is the organiser of business-to-business yachting events.

    Treadwell said the show would be big and many of Asia’s wealthiest

    entrepreneurs, business people and movers and shakers would be converging here

    to see some of the biggest names in yacht building and brokerage.

    "These guys are coming half way round the world to present some very

    well-known and eagerly anticipated boats which are making their Asian debuts at

    the show.

    "We are extremely proud to host industry leaders such as these, who are keen

    to introduce their yachts and yacht services to the new market in this region.

    We provide the perfect platform, in the perfect place, for them to launch their

    businesses in Asia," he said.

    Prior to the Singapore Yacht Show, the 4th Asia-Pacific Superyacht

    Conference will run from Apr 25-26.

    The event is a highly important for the global superyacht industry as it is

    the only platform in the region to bring together local industry professionals

    with global players from the West, to discuss the key issues and opportunities
