MELAKA, July 8 (Bernama) -- A clerk succumbed to head injuries sustained
during a snatch-theft yesterday.
Tang Mui Choo, 35, died at the Melaka Hospital here at 7am today after she
fell off her motorcycle during a snatch-theft at Jalan Benteng, Balai Panjang at
8.15am yesterday.
Melaka deputy CID chief Supt R. Gunarajan said the victim was riding a
motorcycle to her workplace at Kampung Lapan from her house in Taman Pokok
Mangga here when the incident occurred.
"A motorcyclist dressed in black grabbed her handbag from the bucket of her
bike.
"She fell off her bike as she fought back and tried to retrieve her
handbag," Gunarajan told reporters here today.
