SOSILAWATI MURDER DEFENCE TRIAL ADJOURNED TO TOMORROW

SHAH ALAM, May 28 (Bernama) -- The High Court here has adjourned the defence

trial of former lawyer N. Pathmanabhan and three farmhands accused of murdering

cosmetics millionairess Datuk Sosilawati Lawiya and three other individuals, to

submitting he needed more time to study the evidence with his client.

He also told the court that Pathmanabhan was not feeling well enough to attend

the trial.

"My client slipped at the Sungai Buloh prison last night and was rushed to

hospital. He did not have enough rest and is not ready to face trial today," he

said.

the prosecution had succeeded in establishing a prima facie case against

Pathmanabhan, 43, T. Thilaiyalagan, 21, R. Matan, 22, and R. Kathavarayan, 32.
