Mamelodi Sundowns will renew their interest in Zambian international goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene in the next few weeks.

The Brazilians, along with Ajax Cape Town, attempted to sign the Free State Stars number one last season, but were knocked back in their approach.

But with Patrice Motsepe's obsession to sign big-name players, Sundowns are back on the Africa Cup of Nations' winner's trail, despite having one of the season's top players, Wayne Sandilands, on their books.

Mweene, however, plead ignorance concerning the rumours.

He told KickOff.com, "I don't know anything about that. Sundowns have not contacted me and if they did communicate with the club, I would have been told by now, because anything to do with such things I'm always informed."
