KUALA LUMPUR, May 18 (Bernama) -- The Sarawak United People''s Party (SUPP)

has submitted its list of candidates for the next general election to Prime

Minister and Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, said

party president Datuk Seri Peter Chin.

He said the candidates were for the parliamentary seats of Bandar Kuching,

Stampin, Serian, Sarikei, Sibu, Lanang and Miri.

"There are four new faces among the seven candidates but I can''t reveal to

you who they are and how many names we have submitted. It is confidential," he

told Bernama when contacted.

Chin, who is Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water, said the final

decision on the choice of candidates rested with Najib.

In the 2008 general election, SUPP retained six parliamentary seats -

Serian, Sarikei, Miri, Sibu, Lanang and Stampin - and lost Bandar Kuching to the
