KUALA LUMPUR, June 28 (Bernama) -- Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas)
has restructured its distribution of water to affected areas to minimize the
impact to consumers.
In a statement today, Syabas said 28 tankers and 32 static tanks have been
deployed to supply water in the regions involved in water disruption.
However, due to the large number of affected areas, Syabas said it would
give priority to critically affected areas before servicing other sectors.
"We hope that affected consumers will wait for the water tankers to deliver
the water supply. We also urge consumers to reduce their water usage and
conserve water during the current dry spell," the statement said.
The water disruption occurred last week due to the current dry spell which
had caused a drop in water level at the main reservoirs while demand has
increased.
