Taarabt pleads for patience with QPR's overseas arrivals

QPR playmaker Adel Taarabt has urged the club's supporters to remain patient with Mark Hughes' overseas recruits, as the west London side seek their first win of the Premier League season.

The Loftus Road club find themselves planted at the foot of the top flight, having taken just two points from their opening seven games.

Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero and Marseille's Stephane Mbia were among a raft of new recruits with little experience of life in the Premier League, while Samba Diakite has also taken time to adjust to the pace of the English game since his arrival from Nancy in January.

"We have a lot of players it's true but we have foreign players who have not yet adapted to English football," Taarabt told the Fulham and Hammersmith Chronicle.

"For Esteban he tries to get the ball down and play it there - but it has been difficult and we need more time."

David Moyes' in-form Everton are the next to visit London and the Moroccan magician will be hoping that his side can finally clinch their first league win of the season after a disappointing defeat against West Brom last time out.
