Thai resort goes on sale

A luxury resort in Phuket, Thailand is up for sale through expression of interest (EOI), providing a rare opportunity for foreign investors.

Marketed by DTZ, the freehold Ayara Hilltops Boutique Resort and Spa (pictured) covers a sprawling 16,665.2 sqm site and features 48 Thai-inspired villas measuring 80 to 210 sqm.

Built on the slope of a hill, the units offer stunning views of the Andaman Sea.

Ayara Hilltops is a 30-minute drive from Phuket International Airport. Other nearby amenities include Phuket Fantasea a 140 acre theme park and the popular Patong entertainment district.

Swee Shou Fern, Director of DTZs Investment Advisory Services, said: This is a rare offering of a picturesque freehold luxury resort located amidst the lush green grounds of Surin Hill, widely regarded as the most exclusive area in Phuket and referred to as the millionaires row.

Surin Hill is home to many high-end luxury villas, in the vicinity of Amanpuri, The Surin and other internationally renowned luxury hotels, she added.

The EOI exercise closes on 3 November 2014.
