THREE PKR LEADERS LODGE POLICE REPORT OVER 'ACID SPLASH' SMS THREAT

KUALA LUMPUR, July 10 (Bernama) -- Three Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leaders

today lodged a police report over a threat they received via the short messaging

service (SMS) that they would be splashed with acid.

PKR vice-president N. Surendran, PKR Puchong Branch chief S. Morali and PKR

Puchong Branch secretary S. Gobi Krishnan made the report at the Jalan Travers

police station at 3 pm.

They were accompanied by PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar and a lawyer.

Surendran told reporters afterwards he believed the SMS threat was sent by

people uncomfortable with a statement of his carried by a Tamil language

newspaper today.
