Johor Football Association (JFA) President, Tunku Ismail Idris (TMJ), has promised rewards for both Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) and Johor FC if the Southern Tigers manage to lift the FA Cup trophy on June 29.
TMJ said that both teams will receive equal rewards for their effort and achievements.
According to Sinar Harian, Tunku Ismail said: “Johor FC is not competing [in the FA Cup] but they will also receive rewards because they are also my team.”
He also added that JDT’s successful journey to the FA Cup final was the best achievement so far and he described it as a rapid improvement for the team from last season.
JDT will face Kelantan in the FA Cup final after beating Pahang in the semi-final on the away-goals rule.
Meanwhile, TMJ shed light on the remaining Malaysian Super League games for JDT, saying that they will try their best to win the title while admitting that the clash with LionsXII will be very crucial and a difficult task for them.
